The Association organises management development programmes with the objectives of providing practicing managers usful insights into various facets of modern management concepts, tools and techniques.
The Programmes of CMA have been acknowledged as being of immerse utility. Such programmes are conducted by an expert faculty drawn from the senior management cadres of progressive business houses, prominent leaders in public life and reputed academics from India and abroad.
Persons of eminence, thought leaders and opinion makers are invited to address the members and the fguests on issues of leadership in general and contemprary management thoughts in particular.
Calcutta Management Summit
The calcutta Management Summit is the annual signature event of CMA. The Summit is held centered round a theme of contemporary relevance and importance. The technical session of the Summit commences with the Sir Jehangir Gandy Memorial Oration, in memory of our Founder President.
Management Excellence Awards
True to its proud tradition of fostering and developing excellence in management practices, CMA presents Management Excellence Awards. Awards are presented in the following six categories:
1) Business Leadership
2) Corporate Leadership
3) Emerging Leader
4) Innovation Excellence
5) Public Service
6) Lifetime Achievement
In addition, CMA has also instituted a special award, by creating what has been christened as the "Management Hall of Fame" wherein management professionals of outstanding repute and visionary leadership are inducted.
The Management of the Association is vested in the Executive Committee of the Association. The Executive Committee Consists of nineteen members. Out of these, eight individual Membersand six Corporate3 members are elected every year in the Annul General Meeting. Of the remaining, four are co-opted members and one is an ex-officio( Immediate Past President) member. The Excutive Committee, from among its members, elects a President, Vice President and Treasurer.
Membership & Administration
Membership to CMA provides practicing managers a formal accreditation of their standing. Any individual or organisation desiring to become a member is required to apply to the Association in the prescribed from available at the Secretarait.
Day-to-day activities of the Association are coordinated by the Secretarait headed by a full time CEO designated as "Director".
